This is me.  Au naturale!  Again!  You know you want to do one, too!
email subscribers (or if you are having viewing trouble), click here

So, to recap:

{1}  Next week (Feb. 4th), put your Armor of God on and bring your vlog to the link-up party.  Remember, you are beautiful because He made you.  What you say will be awesome because it will be authentic and you are using the voice He gave you.  It will be fun because we will all be in this together.

{2}  You do not have to do a vlog next week to come to the party.  If you do a vlog, you don't have to do it au naturale.  Bring what you got to the kitchen table.  We will love you!

{3}  The new tagline for the Soli Deo Gloria Sisterhood is this:
Inspiring women to just keep it real.

{4}  In the comments, share with us your biggest fear of vlogging.  Or maybe your biggest fear in general.  We're game for anything here!

Need some help creating a vlog?  Here is a helpful article here.  Also, feel free to email me at jenfergie2000 @ me. com

Need some further encouragement?  Listen to this:

    1. Never mind--all good now :)

Sitting at my kitchen table, being real with other women--one of my very favorite things to do. Recording it and putting it on the Internet? Hmmm...not something I really saw myself ever doing.

Now I need to go find that post of yours. Somehow, I don't think I'd ever think of you as The porn girl. You're my sister Jeb. That's all :)

  2. Ooh, scary! As an introvert, the idea of doing a vlog is scary. I love what you are doing here, the honesty, and encouraging us to be real. Blessings! www.toshowthemjesus.com

  3. I love this idea, Jen! Being real. And seeing each other as real. I SO appreciate you. You are truly awesome. I will attempt a vlog for next week, although I'm not comfortable with it--my fears are that I'll sound stupid, look horrible, etc, etc. But I love your vlogs so much--you're just adorable. So I will take the leap of faith, if all goes well. :-)

  4. Love you even more, Jen, after sitting across the kitchen table from you! You did a great job. I don't know if I can do this technically...and if the time to figure it out will be there...but I will try.

You're so right about vulnerability -- it's amazing what blessings come from it. When I think back to a year ago and how tough things were, how frail I felt, and how the Lord blessed in great ways, I know that's true!

  10. Hi long lost friend!!! Don't know if I'll be up for the vlog BUT it certainly is a wonderful goal and fits right in with my embracing the messy and learning to dwell in my security in Christ this year! I've missed you and hope to visit more regularly...love you!!! {oh, biggest fear with vlogging...that I'm getting so old and wouldn't be able to watch without seeing only that;}

  11. I feel better reading the other comments as I thought I was the ONLY one overwhelmed, scared and ignorant about vlogging. NOt sure I am ready to try it but will at least look into the process and dip my toe in the icy water....

  12. I can say that Jen you are so right and you are a big help, an encourager and a one girl cheering section for me...last week when I posted MY FIRST BLOG. And yes, Jen, it was and is amazingly freeing and rewarding. The feedback and comments were fantastic. So stepping out and risking is a way to reveal more of you, the God made you you. There is no fear and no judgement in being YOU. Thanks Jen for helping me in so many ways to do my first VLOG. Love seeing your second one. It rocks. That smile of yours is infectious.

  14. Ug, the vlog - what doesn't freak me out about doing one? I've toyed with the idea for a while, but I don't even know where to begin -- even the technology freaks me out! I don't know Jen...I may be to chicken!

  15. whoa! Vlog= crazy talk :) jk, I've attempted before but it takes SO long to get comfortable in front of the camera I just gave it up. I'd rather watch your vlog's instead :)

  16. What are you doing to me?!!! Okay, seriously, my biggest fears are a)someone I know will accidentally stumble across it (because it always happens when I have something embarrassing posted!) and actually watch it and then I have to see that person around town and wonder why they would actually watch it, and b) I have a habit of laughing when I am nervous. I'll probably laugh the whole video. Very entertaining.

But because I love you, I'll probably do it. I adore this idea. For real.

  17. Jen,
you seem like a natural in front of the camera...adorable :) Okay, just writing this blog, then waiting almost a year to put my little picture on it.. not a big comfort zone in public...no problem with my iRL friends...I don't think vlog-ing will be in my future...Hope you understand...of course, God could wreck into me and tell me to do one...that is another story :)

  18. I just love your vlogs. For me, the fears are more techno stuff. I've tried a couple times and something is always a wee bit off. But...maybe it's time to try again :)

  19. I'm afraid of having nothing to say! For me, there is some comfort in the cushion between me and "the world" when I'm writing. A vlog removes that cushion and I can just see myself wide-eyed and stuttering. That said, I'm seriously considering giving it a shot - just need to think about what I'm going to talk about!

  20. I LOVED watching this video of you. You are so sweet and cute! I share your desire for people to just BE REAL. Great great message.

So, I'm kinda dumb with all the blogging lingo (even though I've had my blog since 2007 - ha ha - I'm a little slow, I guess). What does link up mean? I want to do a vlog and join you and be a part of your rockin' community here, but I don't really know what that means!

  21. Jen, You are adorable. And, you "almost persuadeth me to vlog." We will see how brave I am feeling next week. (Insert scream here.)
