  3. That's one of the only things we can count on. May not "worldly" fit in, but must "Godly" fit in. Focus on HIM!

  4. Excellent reminder! As we say in Appalachian...a good wife keeps her husband warm in winter and provides shade in summer. Dave was always a happy, happy man -grin-.

  6. I agree with Lisa--thanks for the bold message. The pounds have been creeping onto my frame the last few months and I've been playing the comparing game. Deadly and distracting. Jesus, help me keep my eyes on Y O U.

  7. As Jody mentioned the comparing game, I've been caught up in the middle of that, too. While my husband was in the hospital for two months, I regained 20 of the 50 pounds that I had lost. As one sweet sister pointed out to me, that means I am still 30 pounds to the good. :) Anyway, all that to say, Heavenly Father has a lot of play-dough to shape here.

Right now, it isn't something that I'm at all happy with and can't see how my husband could be, hence the comparing game...feeling like skinny/toned/young means beautiful and fluffy/squishy/middle-aged means ugly. I know that isn't true and we are beautiful to Heavenly Father no matter what size or age or our squishy factor. Like with our own children, we are beautiful to Him no matter our outward appearance. Society has worked a real hurting on us with all of the body image messages that are being drilled into us. :(

  8. Hi Jen, well all i can say is OUCH! Only my perception of my shape is what holds me back, not the Lord's belief in and of me. Great reminder
    God bless

  10. Dear Jen
When I saw that pear I had to giggle at its originality. It reminds me so much of us girls with a pear shaped figure.
    Blessings
