Unearthed Treasures, ATKT, and the Soli Deo Gloria Party

Welcome back!  Soli Deo Gloria recently took a 3 week hiatus in this space, but we are starting off things right with Across the Kitchen Table.  The first Monday of every month, we pretend as though we can sit around each others' kitchen tables and chat about what is on our hearts.  Don't have a vlog to post today? Don't worry, we still love reading your hearts, too.
Before you leave, will you make sure to visit the person who linked up before you?  And maybe if you have some encouragement reserves left, you could bless another sister as well?

Today for ATKT, we are talking about this:

What treasures do you think God wants to unearth in you?  What treasures have you already found?
Linking this also with Jen for Unite and Laura for Playdates.
Are you new here? Welcome! We'd love to shower you with some love and encouragement, so if this is your first time linking up, will you put "I'm New!" as your caption under your linky picture? Want more info on what this sisterhood is all about? Click here.

  1. Unearthed treasure is an awesome concept and I appreciate you sharing your shells with us, turning the storm into a thing of beauty for each of us. So proud of you for finishing your book too, at least this stage of it!

  2. 1. You look pretty.
    2. CONGRATS on finishing the book and sending it off!
    3. We experienced the same kind of crazy shell finding at the beach this year...awesome.
    4. That's it. Missed your face.

  3. You are an treasure and congrats on finishing the first draft of the book. Phew.

  4. Wow! Hooray! Congrats on your first draft--- that is a labor of love and faith and obedience (and maybe a few tears?). Wish I really were sitting at your kitchen table, I'd give you a hug :) Thanks for using your words to make Jesus famous!

  5. Yeah!!! 1st draft done. Woo hoo!

We collect shells, and I have them displayed on my coffee table. Now, when I look at them, I am going to have a spiritual reminder that God is unearthing treasure in my life. Wow! I am so thankful for your video. It blessed this Florida girl.

  6. Hope your vacation was so very relaxing, and that the sand from the shells doesn't destroy your keyboard. Loved your perspective that God may have designed shells just for His sheer enjoyment.

God kept handing me a shovel so I could dig up my treasure, but I kept giving it back. . .
So glad he was persistent, especially at putting people in my path who would hand me the shovel in person, and then keep coming by to encourage my not only digging up the treasure, but actually putting it to use. Funny thing about that whole process.

  7. Jen, so excited about your book! Praising God with you!

Oh how I love the beach. We just came home from ten days at the beach. The beach is our favorite place to be. Our family loves to walk the beach and collect shells. So I totally understand what you are saying here. You put it into words so beautifully. Thank you for sharing!

  8. Jen,

Your blog is beautiful. I am so glad that I found it.

  9. Unearthed treasures! Your vlog brought tears to my eyes, Jennifer. I know that God has been trying to get me to see the beauty that He has placed inside of me and I so stubbornly refuse to see it. Thanks for this for I want to be in God's will and see Him. I love the beach so much and know those finds along the sand. I shall take one out of my collection to ponder. I love you for so much and for this today. ~ linda

  10. So beautiful, Jen! Thanks for hosting & God bless.
